Who throwing punches to whom is worse for our school: soccer player at opponent or winless head football coach at assistant?

Who cares about awareness?
Sure, upper echelon teams can make bank by growing great perceptions, but most schools have neither the history nor structural position to make a realistic run at national relevance.
Schools like UNM should focus on providing basic education to its state's population. Sure making sure you have a shot at a .500 season helps keep the donor base interested, but really that bare minimum should be your only goal.
i think the occasional appearance on sportscenter is a reasonable goal.
